Qalibaf says Hormuz stays closed until US lifts naval blockade

Iran parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until Washington lifts the naval blockade, releases frozen assets, removes oil sanctions, ends military operations, and meets MoU terms. The US side separately says the strait is open and the blockade remains in force.

UAE says two Iranian ballistic missiles detected; Tehran denies launch

UAE Defence Ministry said air defenses tracked two ballistic missiles from Iran, with one falling outside territorial waters and one inside. Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei called the accusation unfounded and contrary to good-neighbor principles. UAE Interior Ministry also issued shelter warnings during the alert.

UAE suspends all trade and financial transactions with Iran

The UAE Foreign Ministry said all trade, commercial exchanges and financial transactions with Iran are suspended until further notice, citing regional escalation. The step followed UAE reports of Iranian ballistic missiles toward Emirati territory. Iran rejected the missile claim as baseless.
