Ukraine says four Russian warships damaged in Novorossiysk raid

Ukraine's General Staff said preliminary information shows four Black Sea Fleet vessels were damaged in the Aug. 12 overnight strike on Novorossiysk: Project 11356 frigates Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen, a Buyan-M small missile ship, and Project 22160 patrol ship Vasily Bykov. President Zelensky said the operation used jet-powered drones, Neptune missiles and naval drones against the base more than 300 km from the front. Russia has not publicly confirmed warship damage.

Ukraine strike hits Novorossiysk grain terminals and naval base, BBC reports

A large overnight Ukrainian drone and missile attack on Russia's Black Sea port of Novorossiysk damaged two major grain export terminals and the Black Sea Fleet base there, BBC reported, citing local officials and trading companies. Putin calls Western seizures of Russian ships piracy, threatens reply

Zelensky asks US for 5-10% of Patriot interceptor stockpile

In a CNN interview, President Volodymyr Zelensky said selling Ukraine 5% of the US Patriot interceptor stockpile would help Kyiv get through winter, while 10% would let Ukraine "destroy all the Russians' ballistic missiles."
