US President Donald Trump announced that the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire has been extended by three weeks. Trump said he looks forward to hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the near future. The original ceasefire took effect on April 18.

Israel began airstrikes across multiple areas in southern Lebanon, including several Beirut neighborhoods. The IDF confirmed launches from Lebanese territory crossed into Israeli territory and were intercepted by the Air Force. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for firing into Israel, marking at least six separate claims of responsibility in a single day. The escalation comes amid ongoing ceasefire negotiations.
