Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said its navy struck a US Saildrone-type unmanned surface vessel at the entrance of the Strait of Hormuz and claimed it thwarted an aggressive mission. Al Jazeera reported the claim; Washington had not commented in the same coverage. The report is separate from an earlier IRGC claim about seizing an underwater drone near Hormuz.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations centre said it received a report that projectiles hit two vessels off the coast of Oman. Al Jazeera carried the UKMTO notice alongside IRGC claims of naval action in the Strait of Hormuz. Middle East Spectator separately reported two vessels struck about four nautical miles west of Oman. Damage, flags, and who fired were not confirmed in the initial notices.
